Anyone Know Steve Jobbs E-Mail?

I emailed him- wrote him a little "essay". Maybe he will respond.

Mr. Jobs,

My name is CENSORED. I am a seventh grade student living in New York City. I have looked on Apple's website and at the switchers from PC to Mac, but my story is a bit different. (Please don't erase this yet!!)

I was about one year old when I first got on a computer. A Mac Performa- to be exact. When I saw the Performa, I would just stare at it like it was the most amazing thing in the world. (Which it was!) Next to the Performa was a PC, which to me, looked so complicated and hard to work. Only did the Mac have a friendly user interface and applications & programs to help a one year old learn how to count and read.

When I was five years old, I received my first computer, unfortunately being an IBM Aptiva, which at the time was over $4,000.00 and was worse than the current Macintosh available. I learned to grow up on Windows and accept the complexity, wiping my hard drive once every two weeks and typing continuous DOS prompts.

I've been on Windows and hating Mac's for over seven years. It was my thirteenth birthday and I was seeking a new computer. The endless search included Sony, Toshiba, IBM, and the five thousand other PC brands. I was confused and could not make up my mind, until I saw the PowerBook. The PowerBook was not only the best performing laptop I have ever tried out, but was also the best looking. If you're going to have a laptop, at least have one that looks nice. You guys did that. You guys made the best looking and performing laptop I ever had my hands on. And in October of 2003, I bought my very first Mac, the PowerBook. (I regret not getting a SuperDrive!) Everything comes with it. Word Processing, music management and downloading, instant messaging, Mail programs, CD burning, movie making, photo editing and management, web browsing (yea Safari!) and DVD burning. At no extra cost. This is why Apple is great. Not great, excellent. Now, I know you know about your products, so I'll move on.

I learned everything about the PowerBook and Panther (10.3) in 2 days. 2 days compared to more than seven years. It's a record. You guys make it so simple, yet so elegant. I would like to extend my biggest regards to you guys.

Here's where Apple helped me. I had accidentally applied a bad, non-working replacement log-in screen. (stupidly) I had millions of documents of the hard drive. I didn't have a backup OS on there, so I was forced to re-install Panther. I was feeling all angry because I would lose all of my important data, when in the options menu of the OS installer, there was an option called Archive and Install, which took my user folders and backed them up. THANK YOU APPLE! You saved the day. My data was saved, and fortunately, I got it up and running. No wiping the hard drive, no losing data. It's genius. Thank you once again.

I just got my 40 GB iPod. I had never thought I would ever have gotten one, but I did. It is the most amazing product. It's also a backup HD, so if there's a crash that's not very fixable, hey, boot off of your iPod. Genius. Just pure genius.

Now, you're wondering, why the heck would a 13 year old seventh grader from New York City email Steve Jobs. I'll tell you why. Because I Love your products. And also, today, Jan. 24th, was my Bar-Mitzvah, the same day as the 20th Anniversary of the Mac. Congrats to you and to all at Apple. My special day and Apple's special day being on the same day makes it feel even more important and special. I'm glad to share this important milestone [day] with you and congrats to all at Apple Computers. Thank You.

Sincerely,

CENSORED

Note- during the email i used my real name. Why I'm not revealing it, well, i don't know.

The e-mail address was sjobs@apple.com. I sent it to steve@mac.com too because i wanted to try different e-mails. I titled it "Mr. Jobs- please do not erase! This is not spam! I'm a seventh grader from NY"

if you honestly think emailing Steve Jobs with your sob story will get you a Mac free, you are sorely mistaken.

Why not get a job as a fiction writer (after all, you have a vivid imagination) and make some money then buy one.

Or sell your PC and buy an older Mac... Even a $200 iMac will run Panther.
