rocks1985
can i use garageband to edit, mix, match and my saxophone playing? or my own voice and other things?
Southern Patriot
I don't see why not, so long as you can figure out a way to hook up a midi cable to your sax or your vocal cords. :D
SFNE Freak
You can use the built-in mic of iBook G4's or PowerBooks in Garageband to record your voice.

Basically, can I do what Sheryl Crow is doing with her guitar on Apple's iLife '04 video but with a saxophone? How is she connecting her guitar to the computer?

Tim Dorr Veteran Posted January 25, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 25, 2004 Um, if she's doing it, you can do it. They wouldn't advertise someone doing something you're not able to :D Just get a mic for it, plug it in into the audio in por, and hit record. Simple as pie. You can slice, dice, and rearrange however you like :)
Elliott
How is she connecting her guitar to the computer? You can hook up guitars to amps, which means you can hook them up to computers with the right cables. Then you just hit record and let GarageBand do the rest. For something like a sax, I'm guessing you have to record your sax through a microphone.
