asy1mpo
Hi I have been playing about with ripping DVDs to backup and test. I am using FlaskMPEG and have all the codecs (Divx, Nimo,..) When i encode in flaskmpeg there are several different options to encode in. Theses are: cinepak codec by radius intel indeo® video r3.2 intel indeo video 4.5 intel OYUV codec microsoft video 1 inteo video 5.10 divX codec 4.12 divX ;-) MPEG-4 Low-Motion divX ;-) MPEG-4 Fast-Motion Huffyuv v2.1. MS MPEG-4 3688 V1 MS MPEG-4 3688 V2 MS MPEG-4 3688 V3 I have tried both MS MPEG-4 3688 V1 MS MPEG-4 3688 V3 The quality is OK but not great. Which is the best codec to create an .avi(Divx) etc.?? Its better for Toy Story but not quite for Meet the parents. I think a while ago I did divx codec 4 and the quality was quite poor - with visible 'blocks'. I am aiming to put it on 1 CDR. Any tips?? MxxCon
uninstall nimo, uninstall FlaskMPEG. MS mpeg4 codes are pretty bad. go read http://gknot.doom9.net go with either Divx4.xx 2pass or Divx3.11 SBC or Xvid 2pass all 3 if done properly will give you excelent results.
