SCO (Take a look at this)

Hopefully that website will be history by the end of the year! :D . God forbid if Linux is opensource, and not 100% proprietary, like the SCO would want. That jerk should just go work for Microsoft and be done with it.

this is just rediculous..they obviously have nothing better to do...

maybe they are just mad cuz no one likes cauldera. :p

this whole open source is a danger to the US is like saying:

"Terrorists drink water. You dont want to support the terrorists, DO YOU???? "

read about this before...

*reply to above* I personally love Caldera, problem is that it hasn't changed in 3 years or so, so everything's outdated.

It was the first linux to actually just work the way it was supposed to, and be easy for the user. Red Hat at the time was a royal pain in the arse.

here comes another wave of dos attacks to the sco web site

I hope not!

Every time that happens, Darl uses it as a chance to poke at the Open Source community. :pinch:

Plus. it really does nothing beneficial anyway. Those that do that are just a bunch of kids who think its 'k001' or '1337' to cause that sort of disruption. (or worse, GROWN adults being immature and petty)

SCO is having no effect on Linux usage. Let the justice system plow them under, and we can forget about the struggle, and bask in the warm feeling of having the GPL strengthened by holding up in court and being TESTED and SHOWN to be valid!

seems like lawsuits are the only way for them to make up for incompetitiveness of their own distro when they lost leading places to other companies. And now they figure: oh, let's sue everyone cuz we are broke or smth! So fine, they will sue everyone and be the only company who can develop Linux, then what? 3 year degradation is all that awaits all of us in the first place, then another 3 years of building a roadmap, then the wheel of corporate bull**** is going to start spinning again. No, thanks, i don't want that kind of stuff going again. Instead of bit***** about everyone using Linux and suing everyone, go and develop something better, do something constructive and put some mind into it, not a talking sh**hole of a corporate executive. Sorry for some possibly inappropriate words guys, but i was planning to say them long time ago - every time i see an evil sco logo in the news. i don't read them no more, for know that this is going to be somthing like: sco sent another 1564 e-mails threatining someone with a lawsuit. this company should just go freaking down ASAP, so that others can simply go on doing the good and the right thing and develop the system with flexibilities Linux has now. If you want it free - go and get it free, if you think you want to help in development , but don't know jack about coding - go and send a couple bucks so that the guys who do that for you could get some beers and chill after a week of compiling their stuff. Enough said, screw SCO and long live common sense!

They are not really broke . They even admit that Micro$haft paid them several million dollars for "licensing fees".

Yes, but all of the "investments" that they have gotten are quickly being spent on legal fees.
