divinatum
this is my offical first post from my FIRST mac!!!!! i went to the apple store today and had a 17 inch iMac in mind, but after consulting my mom, it was just a tad too expensive, so i ended up settling on getting a iBook G4, everything stock except i got a airport card installed... and let me say... I LOVE IT!!! i was looking at the 12 inch at the store and absoloutly fell in love with the machine. its the best computer ive ever owned, and ive only owned it for like a half hour. :D ill update the post with pictures soon. SFNE Freak
Congrats. If you find it slow at all, its not the processor, its the RAM. Buy more immediately if you notice extreme laginess!

SFNE Freak
You probably just had to calibrate it a few times. My PowerBook wouldn't change until I calibrated it a few times.

Southern Patriot
Congrats! :) Enjoy it. I really want a mac, but damn they are expensive. :( Try finding a used PowerBook or PowerMac on eBay. I got my PowerBook for under $500, and it runs fine. I need to add some more RAM soon, but otherwise, it's great for the things I do on it (mostly web browsing and newsgroups). Mike Frett
I might as well join in by saying that is my first post from my new mac :) . Would someone here tell me where the uninstall menu is or is as simple as just dragging the folder to the trash with no side effects?

It will leave behind preference settings in both your Library directories, but they are small files. I'll go through and clean it up once in a while. No big deal. Yep, just drag to the trash....if you're anal about leaving things behind then clean out the remaining plist file for the application in your library/preferences folder.
