Hello,

I would like to push a couple of things via GPO in regards to Windows 10 Taskbar but I am a bit lost as to where the GPO settings are;

  • Replace Command Prompt with PowerShell in Win+X menu
  • Apply Windows Color to Taskbar, Start Menu and Title
  • Set Background to Dark
  • Show open window taskbar icons on monitor where they are open only instead of all

1: Going to need to use a registry entry via GPO I believe -

Registry path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

Value: DontUserPowerShellOnWinx

Data Value: 0 (32-bit dword)

2: Don't believe this is possible, all of that is controlled via an XML file, might been to modify that and push it via GP

3: Not sure bout that one.

4: Location: HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

Value name: MMTaskbarMode

Value data: 0-2

0 - All taskbars

1 - Main taskbar and taskbar where window is open

2 - Taskbar where window is open

  • Thanks 1
