McScriven
Hi, I stumbled acorss Neowin a few days back by accident but it is a superb site and I now check it regualry. One question I have though. I am currently redesigning my Soccer web site (www.shrimperzone.com) and having moved servers I can now use PHP. I've been searching high and low for a PHP script that does exactly what I want but to no avail. I don't have the time of ability to code my own script but having found this site it uses exactly the kind of script for its news I want. I was wondering if you could tell me the name of it and where I can download it from so I too can use this to make my site look cool. Any help would be much appreciated. RadishTM Veteran Posted January 25, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 25, 2004 I don't think it's available to the public, though I could be wrong - an Admin can clarify this :) Radish?

Steven P. Administrators Posted January 25, 2004 Administrators Share Posted January 25, 2004 Our news cms isnt available anywhere because it was custom written for this site. We wanted to be at the center of a development for a (free) CMS but so far thats never actually happened or been serious enough to be a distribution. McScriven
Damn!!! Don't suppose you'd release it to me? (thought not) It's exactly what I am after. The problem I have is I want a script, that I can allow people to use who have no HTML knowledge but they can just write their stories, add pictures format text (bold, underline and stuff) and when the story posts you can retrieve the URL to it so I can then add a link to the front page (which is a custom design as I hate the way PHP scripts lay out the front pages). Anyone know of any scripts that do this? I've been searching for weeks.
giga Veteran Posted January 25, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 25, 2004 IP Dynamic Lite is another one. It's directly connected to the forum, so that's how you post news. You can also use IBF Extreme, its like virtuanews.
McScriven
Virtuanews is exactly what I'm after but unfortuantely being non profit I don't have the money to purchase it. Have you a URL for IBF Extreme?

Have you a URL for IBF Extreme? Here You have to register to that forum before you can download it. Once registered: Once you click on the download link, you will get an error. You should be redirected. If not, click on the link on the page. :)
