Best keyboard/mice/speakers combo under $70?

Recommended Posts

Next month, my mom wants to use $200 of what she is getting back from tax time to use towards computer upgrades. $130 of it is already going towards two internal upgrades: An EVGA 400W PSU, and an Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB SSD.

Using PCPartpicker & rounding down, $70 remains of this $200 package, & she wants to get a combination of a Keyboard, Mouse, and speakers for her computer. Could i be pointed towards the best rated parts for this combo?

Well, if you are like my parents, they just need the basics.  Nothing fancy.  You can get some good Logitech wireless KB/M combos for around $40 or so.

Logitech MK520 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo ($35)

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-MK520-Wireless-Keyboard-Mouse/dp/B003VANO7C/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1517405351&sr=1-3&keywords=keyboard+mouse+combo&refinements=p_89%3ALogitech|Microsoft

And for speakers, I have always like Altec Lansing.  I still have a speaker/subwoofer set I am using from a PC I bought back in 1998.  But I mainly use my laptop these days so others may have better opinions on speakers.  I know Amazon has a lot of speakers for under $40 or and some have sub woofers as well.  But if it is anything like my parents, just a basic set of speakers will do them fine.  My parents are using just a pair of basic Dell speakers.

this is my go to for mouse/keyboard combo

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Wave-Combo-MK550/dp/B003VAHYNC/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1517414180&sr=1-8&keywords=logitech+wireless+combo

good sound usually costs, however if you are looking to be on the cheap the reviews for cyber acoustics are pretty favorable

I have this system and really like it, it could be better but it was good for the price

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Z623-Watt-Speaker-System/dp/B003VAHYTG/ref=pd_sbs_147_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B003VAHYTG&pd_rd_r=WD0T5GKFH6NJ8YXH2EHV&pd_rd_w=IMEmo&pd_rd_wg=Izf9r&psc=1&refRID=WD0T5GKFH6NJ8YXH2EHV

As far as what is good and what isn't, your ears are your ears.  Only you will know what sounds good to you and what you want to hear.  You are honestly best off to go to a store and listen to systems in your price range and pick out one that you like.

Never could get used to the curved KBs.  The combo I posted is similar to yours....just the straight KB.

I know, just gave my opinion to the keyboard mouse.  It isn't as dramatic as the microsoft curved keyboard, but I can also type without looking at my fingers and can use all of my fingers to do so, so it is a little easier/more relaxed to type on one.  Hunting and pecking make it harder on a curved keyboard esp at night, you can't always see all of the keys at certain monitor lit lighting angles.
