MrStaticVoid
I have never subscribed to any mailing lists. I have been browsing the gentoo-user mailing list in gmane, and I want to join it. What is the best way to handle the mailing list in Evolution. Will I get that nice threading like in gmane or will it just crap up my inbox? If it helps I am using an IMAP mail server so I do have the ability to create new folders and the like. Thanks.
kemical
well i just rule message filters in mozilla to put all gentoo related emails in a particular folder :)
markwolfe Veteran Posted January 27, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 27, 2004 By default, Evolution will just throw them all in the folder - sorted by date or whatnot. You can switch to a 'threaded' view by using CTRL+T. ;)
MrStaticVoid
Yeah...I found that threaded view and I like it. After several hours of research, I have discovered that I can have my Postfix MTA forward its received mail to procmail which then sorts my mail. I have procmail sorting my different mailing lists and even sorting out spam. It is really nice when combined with IMAP :-P. Thanks for the replies though.
