Angela Merkel admits that 'no-go zones' exist

German Chancellor Angela Merkel made a major concession to Europe's populist movement this week when she admitted the existence of so-called “no-go zones” in Germany.

Conservatives and populists have long warned of the existence of such zones as the partial consequence of mass Muslim migration from the Middle East and Africa, particularly after Merkel opened Germany’s borders in 2015 as a response to the Syrian refugee crisis. Such areas are said to be dogged by high-levels of crime and are described as "no-go zones" because outsiders, including police and other authorities, are unable to enter.

Anyone remember when people were calling Trump a conspiracy theorist for saying this just a few months ago?

Well isn't that big of her! We've had similar issues in part of Australia where an ultra left wing government runs society in to the ground. Up until late December anyone who mentioned Sudanese youth gangs was labelled a right wing extremist. Suddenly it was on the radar with slight admissions they can't deal with the problem.

Like Detroit eh :D

Actually, Detroit's rebuilding, bigtime. As in >$12 billion in developments, including new skyscrapers and a big tech district,  and there's a housing shortage downtown including high end housing. Major hotels coming back due to major entertainment  and convention business. Crime is down (lots to go in the outskirts though), and the schools are starting to rebuild.

Belle Isle, an island park larger than NYC's Central Park, is being massively refurbished and improved. Indy car racing on the islands perimeter road.

And, the city budget has a $58m surplus.

How does this article disprove the OP? It in fact supports it and only says that they won't say specifically where they are. Also, just because you find one article merely questioning something doesn't make it fake news.

It was somewhat of a joke heh.  Detroit and 'safe spaces'...anyway.  If I was actually responding to the topic I might have added Baltimore or Chicago or...you know, things ain't all rosy here either.

I won't pretend to know what's happening in Germany but seeing people get all hot blooded every time an immigrant does anything criminal as if locals NEVER do is eyeroll worthy.
