Following a two year break aimed at revitalizing the long-running action series, Ubisoft released Assassin's Creed Origins last year, bringing players to Ancient Egypt for the first time in the franchise. It seems the series' next stop will be another first, with it reportedly being set in Ancient Greece.
The report arrives from Liam Robertson, someone with a good reputation when it comes to scoops like these, who has received the information from "several sources linked to Ubisoft," stating that the Greece set title has been in full production since the beginning of 2017.
It seems Ubisoft will be keeping the new two-year gap between Assassin's Creed titles for the upcoming game as well, ditching the old annual formula. The report claims that the game will launch in the fall of 2019, and listed the launch platforms as PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
As always, take this information with a grain of salt, as until Ubisoft comes out and announces the game in an official manner, everything is a rumor. But, we may have to wait some time for that to happen if the game's launch is actually that far off. If we are lucky, we may see a glimpse at E3 this year.
