Also, a new Reddit user named 'Austinbomber' posted "I am doing this simply because I want to watch the world to burn" and compared himself to the Zodiac killer.

Austin bombing suspect is dead, sources tell KVUE

APD said it was working an officer-involved shooting in the 1700 block of N. Interstate 35.

According to KVUE's Kris Betts, APD and the FBI were arresting the suspect in the Austin bombings. Betts also stated the suspect detonated a device and shots were fired.

Sources tell KVUE's Tony Plohetski the suspect is dead.

Authorities used surveillance video from the FedEx store in south Austin to lead them to the suspect, according to Plohetski. Through the use of cell phone technology, police found the suspect at a hotel in Williamson County, Plohetski said.

The suspect attempted to evade the police and eventually "detonated himself" when officers made a move on him.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

Earlier today I was talking to a neighbor about the likelihood of it being "Vanilla ISIS" -- aka "angry white [snip]". Guess I was right, sorta.

Yup, Any use of violence to forward an agenda is terrorism, doesn't matter what colour, religion or race you are.

Killer: Mark Anthony Conditt,  24. College grad, non-military.

They didn't call it terrorism because the victim types & profile were all over the map. Typically you see bombers with certain methods, motives & victim patterns.

Early on Conditt's victims were black, which would fit a white supremacist terror bombing, but then there were white victims and later one blew at a UPS facility near San Antonio. They're still trying to figure Conditt out. Typical bombers,

Terrorism: agenda driven

Serial bomber:  often mentally ill

Serial killer : smarter SK's use bombs & poisons

etc.

A terrorist's target is not what defines an attack as terrorism, the act itself is what defines it as terrorism:

terrorism

ˈtɛrərɪzəm/

noun

the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

Not that it particularly matters one way or another, but surely using the definition that you provided this was not an act of terrorism?

From your post

Its not established that this bombers goal  was political, but in my post this was covered under "agenda driven."

And of course it is now not terrorism. But rather a lone wolf incident.
