Matrox
I need an icon for DesktopWeather. The next version is almost ready, and this is the only thing that is holding me up. I would make one myself, but I really suck at art. Please help me out here. Thanks -Matrox
Sillysam
This would be a good icon but i did not make this, it says global weather
DoubleJ
Here is a screenshot of the VERY simplistic icon I made. Feel free to use it if you want. I set myself up with a Yahoo briefcase, so just follow the link and you can download it there. There are 16, 256, and true color versions of 16x16, 32x32, and 48x48. Get it here EDIT: Well, I have no idea how to ge the screenshot to work, so just click it. Also, what appears white in the screenshot is actually clear in the icon. EDIT II: Also in my briefcase I included a zip file with all the weather icons from the weather channel site. There are 44 icons (some repeats for some reason) in 3 different sizes, 25x25, 31x31, and 52x52. I don't know if you have all of them already, but if you don't they are there for you to grab. The numbers all correspond, so if it is hard to tell what a smaller icon is, just look at the large one of the same number. EDIT III: Yeah, those icons below are better, i think. I also started a list of weather conditions that show up using the N/A icon. It too is in my briefcase linked to above. Just tell me if you already know all the weather conditions and their icons and I'll stop compiling the list.

Paulstorm
Hey Matrox, Love the poggie. Almost went into meteorology myself! At any rate, I created three icons for you. Hope you like. Preview: http://131.103.243.64/WD/preview.jpg Download: http://131.103.243.64/WD/DWIcons.zip Heh..just realized that I put "WD" instead of "DW" for DesktopWeather. :p Not WeatherDesktop! 'doh! Dyslexia I fixed the zip file, not the preview.
Matrox
Thank you all for the great icons. I started a poll so you can all vote on which one you want me to use. Just a note, the program is call DesktopWeather(DW), and not WeatherDesktop(WD). I am not sure which sounds better though. DoubleJ, thanks for all your help. I already have all the icons ready to go, and the list of weather conditions is not needed. -Matrox
Paulstorm
Matrox, How difficult would it be to rip out the weather.com condition icons and replace em with new ones? TWC's condition icons are tired. :right: :old:
Matrox
Well not that difficult, just very tedious. If you would like to do this, download DoubleJ's zip of all TWC's icons, and make replacements for them. They must be the same names and sizes. Then send me a link and I will add to the next version. -Matrox
DoubleJ
I created another icon, same as before, but now DW instead of WD... oops:D Get it here.

AuRe
all that information is given with WeatherDesktop??? or just the weather? If not, which soft is used to get it on desktop? It's only for USA and Canada?
Matrox
AuRe, only the weather info is given by DesktopWeather. Currently only for US and Canada but support for more places is coming soon. Beta 2 has been released. -Matrox
