SMB service

If you don't need to do file sharign or print sharing with a Windows PC, then you can shut these services off.

First, at a console, enter chkconfig --list | grep 5:on to see what services are set to start when in runlevel 5 (use 3:on to see for non-GUI bootups)

Read the man page for chkconfig to see how to turn services on or off.

[EDIT: Depending on how your $PATH is set, you may have to specify /sbin/chkconfig]

but it like runs through this like boot menu and it has never done this before

then it stops when complete and leaves the command line up

whats the command to just start running the os ... or what do i need to put in
