Extension to mark websites as annoying? (popup subscribe/follow requests)

Recommended Posts

I wish there was an extension that I could use to mark/blacklist all websites that popup a "subscribe to our newsletter, follow our facebook" so I never have to visit them again.

Nothing irritates me more when visiting an unknown website to read an article and then having crap popup over it all the time.

What good is a popup blocker if these things still happen? And that also applies to video overlays :|

As a website owner and operator, this behavior ruins it for people like me who don't do it, yet have to deal with people installing ad blockers because other websites do this.

Completely agree. I hate when I click a link, start reading and then it glazes over to ask me if I want to subscribe to their newsletter. A majority of the time I leave the site even if I was interested in the article. Unfortunately it's not like I'm making a statement to the website; they already got my click. :(

Firefox is working on something for the following pop-up blocker.

Let's see how much fruitful it will be and when it will be mature offering. Till then you can install following addons:

Firefox:
