the evn show
Why would you run Microsoft Office for Windows using Wine on a platform that has a native version that costs the same, is going to run better and includes Virtual PC for the same cost... He said "Like office". how about "visual studio" because you're taking MFC/C#.Net in school and there isn't a way to write code using those technologies on OS X. Also, maybe I don't want to buy the version of office with VPC because it costs more than the cheap version without it (student/teacher ed.) Why is it better than VPC? Because these applications are running _without_ windows. It may be slow, but it's much cheaper than office pro or virtual pc + windows. Also they're running rootless so I don't have a windows desktop, then an os x desktop - they exist right along side X11 and Cocoa applications and that is a good thing. Even if you don't want it, having the option is a good thing.
NeoMayhem
This is nice and all, but I would never use it. OS X programs are so much better then windows ones... I cant wait to see the first person run VPC For windows on a Mac with Windows running inside of that though, lol.
