Mapping an Office 365 SharePoint drive

Recommended Posts

The various guides on the Internet seem to reference things I don't see on my end so I was wondering if someone could help guide me through it.

I click on: "Connect to a Web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures." link in the Map Network Drive dialogue but I'm not sure which URL I need to enter.

https://csucloudservices.sharepoint.com/teams/comms/f/Forms/AllItems.aspx (which brings up all the folders etc. in a Web browser) is not working.

Running Windows 10 x64 Fall Creators Update/16299.

You should be seeing a blue link at the bottom of that window as below?

I do see that link but I'm not sure which URL to enter.

According to this :

https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1970194-mapping-a-network-drive-to-sharepoint

To create it, first go to your SharePoint Document library and copy the link in the address bar, you should get something like this -> http://sharepointsite/department/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx

Go to My computer, and click on "Add A Network Location"

A wizard will then appear, click on Next

Select Choose a custom network location and click on next

Paste in the address, making sure to delete the last part of the url from Form onwards. The URL should look like this ->  http://sharepointsite/department/Shared%20Documents

Click Next

Give it a Name, click Next, then Finish.

I think there might be something wrong with the site configuration in that case, I did try mounting the site you mentioned and no form of the url is working, even just using http. Couldn't tell you what might be wrong with it though.

Got it!

When I only entered:

https://csucloudservices.sharepoint.com/teams/comms/

it auto-suggested:

csucloudservices.sharepoint.com

Which worked a treat :)

Glad you got it working, I work on an IT support desk and some things might be blocked to us. :/
