HP printer problem

Why are the letters chopped off during printing in my HP 4535 printer?  what to fix? Here is the printer status report.

I looked this up. People are saying set it it to A4 in settings.

 

Also, what is your OS? Win 7, 8, 10?

Try some trouble shooting  print just a b&w doc if the issue exist there it is probably a bad cartridge, especially if the missing lines are equal distance for each other. The other possibility is something in the path of the print cutting off the characters.

Its printer Status report.  You don't need a computer for this.  So  OS is irrelevant here .. right? 

 

Just go to the printer and choose menu  "status report" ...it prints that .

my question:

 

Do you think the ink is adequate? This is not a cartridge problem?

 

Or I should try with a new cartridge?

have you done the head cleaning/alignment? might need to run it a few times

 

I don't think the cartridges are the issue, that would look more erratic I would think

should be able to find it going through the settings on the printer. its usually pretty easy to find

 

Jim K's link should give clear instructions for it if needed :)
