Print to PDF, not working

Recommended Posts

So for some odd reason when I try to print something as a PDF, it never saves to the drive, I have tried 2 different drives and in both cases nothing is ever created. I need to save an invoice from newegg as a PDF so I can attach it for an RMA. Does anyone have any experience with this, or know of a work around?

Did you try to turn the feature off and on again?

Start Button  >

start typing "turn win..." >

"Turn Windows Features On and Off" should appear.

Uncheck Microsoft Print to PDF, reboot, check it again and reboot (at least I believe you need to reboot ... it should tell you).

Chrome and Firefox have a built in PDF reader that should let you save or print to PDF

The problem (in windows 10) with the Microsoft instructions is that is says select PDF (local port).  In fact it should say select File (Print to file).  When you select PDF in the steps during set up, when you try and use the Print to PDF nothing happens, no seen errors, it just sits there.  Selecting File (Print to file) it works.
