Updated RSAT Windows 10 1803

Recommended Posts

Microsoft have updated the Remote Server Administrative Tools (RSAT) for Windows 10, allowing users to remotely manage Legacy Windows Server, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 1709 and now Windows Server 1803. Only the 1803 build is new, the Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 1709 builds remain identical to the previous binary release.

Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 10 includes Server Manager, Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-ins, consoles, Windows PowerShell cmdlets and providers, and command-line tools for managing roles and features that run on Windows Server.

MSU installers are availalable for x86 and x64. As with previous releases, upgrading Windows 10 to 1803 will de-install any previous version of RSAT and you should reinstall the correct version for your Windows 10 build.

Three pairs of files are available:

  1. Windows Server 2016 / Legacy - Use this if managing Windows Server 2016 or legacy server operating systems
  2. Windows Server 1709 - use this if managing only Windows Server 1709
  3. Windows Server 1803 - use this if managing only Windows Sever 1803
