Manage an iPod without iTunes?

Sheesh. You'd think that in 2018 it'd be easy to find a tool like this... There's just too much noise! So why not Neowin?

 

Hello everyone :D! I just got an old iPod Classic 5th Gen (30GB), which I'd like to use especially for podcasts and audiobooks. I'm looking for a 100% free alternative (That doesn't require iTunes) that allows me to copy back and forth data from it. I'd also like to be able to create playlists and export it to the iPod.

 

Any 100% Free ideas?

Just found out about Podtrans. https://www.podtrans.net/download.html

 

It's copying files. I would love to group the files into folders! That'd be neat!

Have not updated my 30gb classic wheel iPod in years. Been sitting in my center console of my car and I use it to play music.  You used to be able to install Winamp to upload MP3s to the classic iPods.  Not sure if this is still possible.
