Today, Razer announced its latest Blade gaming laptop, the first since its Kaby Lake refresh last February. The 14-inch screen has been increased to 15.6 inches, and with slimmed down 4.9mm side bezels, the footprint has only grown by 0.4 inches. Razer says that it's the world's smallest 15.6-inch gaming laptop. At 0.66 inches thin, it's 3% smaller in volume than the previous generation 14-inch Razer Blade.
Along with the 4.9mm side bezels, the top bezel is 10mm, and the bottom is 17mm. The new 15.6-inch screen comes in a 1080p flavor with a 144Hz refresh rate, or you can make the jump to 4K, but that's 60Hz.
And of course, the new PC includes Intel's new Core i7-8750H, a 45W hexa-core powerhouse. For graphics, you'll have your choice between an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 with 6GB GDDR5 or a GTX 1070 with 8GB, with Max-Q Design, making it quieter and cooler. If that's not enough, it supports Razer Core external GPU, like the Core X that was announced today.
That comes through the included Thunderbolt 3 port. Alongside of that is HDMI 2.0b, mini-DisplayPort 1.4, and USB 3.1 Gen 2, which supports data transfer of up to 10Gbps. The stereo speakers support Dolby Atmos, so you'll get an immersive audio experience.
The new Razer Blade is available beginning today in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and China, starting at $1,899. It will come to Asia Pacific markets in June.
