tgumbel
With the notorious iBook logic board fault possibly affecting more than 800,000 units, Apple is offering to replace faulty unitsfollowing threats of class-action lawsuits by disgruntled iBook owners. The iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program applies to iBooks manufactured between May 2002 and April 2003 with serial numbers ranging from UV220XXXXXX to UV318XXXXXX. Those experiencing "Scrambled or distorted video; Appearance of unexpected lines on the screen; Intermittent video image; Video freeze; Computer starts up to blank screen" should contact Apple to see if their iBook qualifies for the repair program. Those who have already paid for eligible damages will be reimbursed. Source Spymac Thanks God, mine has failed 3 times already.
