Eggdrop

Recommended Posts

Hello. I wonder if you can look at my .conf file. It connects to my chat room on EFNET. I can get eggdrop up and running but if I /message Pentium1 hello nothing happens (user doesn't exist). I can telnet to my eggdrop by running Putty but when I enter Bucko putty just quits. I think I am entering the wrong username. You enter the admin account name set in the .conf file don't you? Also once I get this telnet thing sorted what is the command to add my eggdrop into my chan? Cheers, Bucko.

OK this is wierd, /message Pentium1 hello kind of works, as in it doesn't return the user doesn't exist in mIRC and I can see the lights flashing on the hub. I think it's connected but what do I do now?

OK, BUMP lol. Your probably thinking oh he can't make an eggdrop. Well to tell you the truth I can't lol. I wouldn't mind if you could give me your example .conf file. I am also going to uninstall Eggdrop but I've forgotten how to do that lol. Then I'm going to reinstall I think my mate on msn was messing with my eggdrop.

I think somet is wrong with my .conf, I'm going to reinstall eggdrop and start again. I just want some of you guys to look at it and see if the .conf file is ok.

Here is the working one if anyone wants it.

Thanks for posting the fix. I have never used eggdrop, but having the problem and the fix posted here will undoubtedly help someone in the future.

Yes but you will need to mod it a bit, if your on a different network and put in your own nick and your own chan. I just want some cool TLC or what ever scripts to display system info etc. Was wondering if the same Linux .conf would work on windrop?
