Sonos and (downloaded) local songs on PC; how to get them played?

Recommended Posts

I have a Sonos Play:5 and some legally downloaded songs locally on my computer.

For some reason Spotify doesn't play these songs when importing (probably DRM protected).

When I copy these songs to my iPhone and launch the Sonos-app, I get them played.

However, I rather would like to stream them from my notebook (instead of copying these songs to my phone).

Is there a way/app to do this? I cannot find a specific Sonos app for Windows 10, which can do this.

Have I overlooked something? Or do you guys have a way/alternative for my question?

A quick Google suggests using something called "Stream What you Hear" - https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/stream-computer-audio-output-sonos/

It seems that with this there's a 2 second delay no matter what :( Out of curiosity, why not use your phone?

Thx.

I found an even better way - @dipsylalapo via your link - namely:

https://radio.co/blog/add-radio-stations-to-sonos

Here you can download the/a Sonos app and configure it to play your local music as well ;)
