Looking for a tablet that is good for reading comics.

I am looking for a tablet that is good for reading comics from comixology and other sources on. It has to be at least 9 inch screen. The most obvious choice is the ipad. But as I understand it, I cant buy comic from comixology on it. So I guess android (my phone is android). Anyone have any recommendations? Budget of around $250 to $300. I am not a fan of the kindle fires (dont like the ui), but I will get one.

It's a little over your budget at $320 on Amazon, but the Huawei MediaPad M5 8.4" has a 2560x1600 display, which I think should be good for reading comics.

As much as I do not care for Samsung's UI, they are basically the main players in the Android market.  Google has not produced a Nexus device in years and does not look like anything is on the horizon.  I got my mom a Samsung tablet and she loves it and uses it a lot to read ebooks.

Huawei MediaPad M3 is less expensive yet have the same resolution with M5.

I have a Asus ZenPad Z301MF-A2-GR which i paid a little bit over 200$ CAD and i like it. Does the job as a media consumption device.
