After being passed in Senate a couple weeks ago, the House removed some amendments added by Senate and sent it back for another vote... which passed! Legal recreational Marijuana is coming to Canada in 8-12 weeks.

Exciting times!

Grats to you guys; I'm actually heading to Calgary September 1-5 to the mountains to the west so... *ahem* if you guys got things going by then (10-11 weeks)... :shifty:

Was excited to see some movement down here in Texas too, with Republicans starting to endorse it out here. Realistically, it just makes the most sense if we're all about getting the government out of our business.

Well, once it's given "Royal Ascent" it is then up to government to give a date. I wouldn't be shocked if they announced a Sept 1 date for full legalization. That said, once it's done this I am sure things may get moving pretty quickly. There's money to be made.

Congratulations, folks. Bonfires, parties and good times to you all! Sorry the States are being persnickety and all ... have a few in memory of how cool we used to be.

About damn time really and hope more countries follow suit.  No worse that cigarettes or alcohol and actually has medical benefits.  If anyone takes the time to research why it was banned, it was not because it was a "drug"

October 17th is the announce "legal" date. That's when you can walk into a store and buy pot.
