There is a nice collection of Apple users here, who are more than helpful. :) Props to everyone here. :)

While you wait for the official Apple iBible, kool-aid, and robes, I'll give you an overview of the new 'rules for life' from the Cult^WClub manual.

- All people using Windows are either, stupid, poor, hopelessly trapped, or otherwise incompetent.

- The golden rule: Apple can do no wrong, and is magically immune to bugs, crashes, and viruses no matter what anyone says

- a 533MHz G4+ is at least twice as fast as a P4 at 2.5GHz, and usually even faster. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a Microsoft-apologist or an AMD zealot and should be ignored.

Oh wait, I forgot that 'outsiders' might be reading this thread - pretend you didn't see that. ;)

J/K. You've taken the first step to expanding your computer experiences. Even if you don't like OS X and the Macintosh it will enrich your time spent on other platforms and expand your knowledge base for the next time you have some problems to solve; it's all good. On the other hand you might just like using "unix-on-the-desktop" that you'll come to loath the weaknesses and differences in other platforms...I guess that's okay too :)
