winxp corp + 3com dual link ADSL external

Hello folks

I?ve installed XP Corp but my 3com Dual Link ADSL External does not work at all. Any ideas?

BTW, Im using the USB interface, is this a problem???

Yeah.. that might be your problem since XP would have to have drivers for the modem (which it prolly doesn't) it's better to get a NIC and connect the modem to the NIC and it'll more than likely work that way since XP has drivers for most NICs. If you're getting a NIC though stay away from the NetGear FA311/312 NICs cuz I have one now and it's a pain in tha but. I've spoken to serveral people who have them and they have the same probs...

USB external modem need driver to run or even regconized by winxp.

On the other hand, NIC doesn't because most NIC will be detected by Winxp and auto load its driver.

Just buy a NIC, ethernet card. It only 5 bucks at Fry's Electronic, it is like the backbone of internet now and you are left in the dust without one.

im using my 3com adsl dual link with the usb port on xp corp with the 2000 drivers fine, except that instead of using enternet 300 im using raspppoe
