opeth
Can I delete it (possibly have to do it with explorer not running?) and let windows file protection replace it? Or use recovery console and copy over it from the CD (is it on the cd, not in a .cab file)? Please help. Oliver
Guest whybkuul
i'd say go into safe mode with command prompt and delete it. windows will recognize that it's not there when you try to reboot, and will either restore it itself, or will ask for the recovery cd. of course, i've never done this before, so i'm not responsible if this messes up your computer

opeth
Actually, after a bit of research, I think its not even a system file, just named to look like one. The file doesn't exist on XP home, but I have XP pro. I'm not sure how many more files pro has over home if any, but I'm just going to delete it and see what happens. Kusanagi
WinXP Pro doesn't have that file, too. Rip it off, now!
