I don't know what you mean by 'DVD Game'.. but i assume you want to convert it to cd-rom. you'd (obviously) have to split it somehow and then get it to recognize that fact. don't know how though.

Umm... Underworld DVD game? What are you talking about? Anyway, no, there's no way to "rip" a DVD game to a CD... Not that I even really understand what you mean by that. Sure, it's possible with DVD MOVIES, but not games...

Guys !

I mean DVD ROM Games. Like, the splinter cell PC version is 3 CDs and the DVD ROM version is 1 cd.

So, can I rip a DVD ROm game to PC. I don't care how much CD it takes.

No. You can't. You'd have to remake the compressed files, rewrite the installation files... there's no way.

also you can't rip a DVD game to multiple CD's, the most you could do is rip the full iso of the DVD and back it up onto multiple CD's using splitting software, winrar could do this for you. but if your looking to backup your DVD to multiple CD's which you can then install from, thats impossible for you to do.

other wise DVD decrypter in ISO mode will create the ISO, or you could use ALCOHOL 120% to do it. however DVD decrytper is free and very good so I would try it first.

This probably can't be done without a lot of knowledge about the workings of the game (and I assume you do not). The reason why the Splinter Cell PC game is available in 3 CDs or 1 DVD is because it professional programmers/developers set it up like that. No computer newbie could do that.

Under the current copyright laws, you are allowed to make a personal backup of whatever you own. I do not understand why you feel the need to yell "illegal illegal, close thread." This is perfectly legal since he did not say he was going to give the CDs away to other people. I have no idea why he wants 3 CDs instead of 1 DVD, but he hasn't done/said anything illegal.

This is not illegal. If you own the DVD you are allowed to make a backup for personal use. Wether you back it up to a DVD or a bunch of CD's is your business.

Technically it is possible ofcourse, though like said already you will have to rewrite the installer and probably more. This is nearly impossible to do. Combining several CD's to 1 DVD is a lot easier (I combined Adobe Creative Suite (3cd's) to 1 DVD a couple of weeks ago. I just had to throw them together on 1 DVD and modify the installer a bit so it thinks everything is on once CD/DVD).

well its not illegal if he doesnt put it on the internet

its only legal if he use it as a backup

a copyright is illigale if you copy something u DONT got a original copy of it

if u sell it to others, or place it onto the internet...

OK, look, define what a DVD game is? Is it:

1) A PC game that comes on a DVD

2) A console game that comes on a DVD

If 2) then dream on, as you can't install a console game on a PC (not recent ones anyhow).

If 1) then yes you could rip it to CDs, but it would not run from those CDs, you'd need to install it on your PC and make sure all the files were on your PC. The only reason I can see for this is "backup", as if you can read the original DVD, I'd tend to use that!

Said it once already, as have many other people. You can't do it. There's no way you can make your own installer. DVD Drives are dirt cheap, if you wanna play it that much, pick one up. Or find somebody who'll loan you one for a while.
