Super Smash Bros Ultimate bundle will hit shelves on November 2nd

There were a number of notable announcements as part of the most recent Nintendo Direct broadcast, including a slew of Final Fantasy titles making their way to the Switch in addition to new installments in the Luigi's Mansion and Animal Crossing series. However, for Super Smash Bros. enthusiasts, there was some important news about when they can expect to get their hands not only on the title but some themed hardware too.

As part of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate bundle, you will receive a dock featuring challengers from the original version in the series along with a code to download the game once it becomes available. Plus, the bundle will include gray Joy-Con bearing the distinctive intersecting lines found in the logo of the Smash Bros. franchise.

The bundle itself will become available on November 2, with pre-orders having already opened, while the previously announced GameCube controller and four-way adapter will also be publicly released on the same date. However, as previously announced, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will launch on Friday, December 7.

Plus, if the roster of fighters wasn't already bursting at the seams, Isabelle from Animal Crossing will be entering the fray, bringing the total number of characters up to 74.

Of course, with less than three months to go before the game's release, Nintendo could have another one or two more fighters up its sleeve, although series creator Masahiro Sakurai has previously stated that "we're kind of hoping you aren't expecting too many new challengers." Of course, time will tell if Isabelle will indeed be the last fighter to be included in the ultimate lineup.
