devilotX
Can anyone help me out with this? I've been looking around trying to find a way to do this, and I've come close, but the source I added to sources.list, I think had something wrong cause I couldn't install kdelibs-data I've got the last release of knoppix, I need to reinstall or re-enable the kde that was installed, but I sure could use a walkthrough if someone has pulled this off. Thanks guys.
devilotX
Ok... So I got no help here... Thats alright, I can't expect miracles from neowin. 6 hours of struggle and 2 reinstalls I got it! with a Dist-upgrade to SID and a decent source for the KDE beta, I was beaten down by a broken pipe (whatever that meant) With the broken pipe on kdelibs-data some files failed dependancys (konquror being the main one), having done this a few times I knew that a reboot would mean death (at least to me) Used dpkg --force -i kdelibs-data, , had to use Kpackage to install Konqueror (manually downloaded the Package from the site) then an apt-get update got the system running again reboot real quick and bang!!!! runing KDE 3.1.95 (3.2 beta) sweetness, Now its a matter of... Do I try to install the 2.6.1 kernel or do I just wait for the rumored 3.4 knoppix CD to get me going...
