MaceX
I know neowin.net needs advertising, but this one ad just ****es me off :(. MaceX
maybe you just don't visit neowin enough, no I don't have any spyware.. it only happens when I visit neowin.net sometimes.
mariusu
i don't get this add either... maybe you should just scan your computer for spyware or just visit that site and see what it states; maybe you will find some removal information there, though i doubt it... but it sure looks like somekind spyware for me :shifty:

Redmak Administrators Posted February 1, 2004 Administrators Share Posted February 1, 2004 This ad is not ours (at least not intentional). Where does it take you when you click it?
Wannes
Redmak, the thread he is viewing in the screenshot is this one. I visited the thread and that add did not come up. If I were in your shoes I would run a spyware scan. :)
MaceX
It only happens on neowin.net, nowhere else and it happens like at least once a day when I visit neowin. I scanned with ad-aware and spybot s&d and the only thing it picked up were cookies, I don't have any foreign process running that I don't know what they do and the only extension I have to IE installed is the google toolbar. I also keep my windows xp up to date accordingly with the windowsupdate site so I'm pretty sure that it's neowin. I didn't click the ad, but I saw it kept annoying me so I thought I would post here. Wannes
Good idea. I believe several users have been to the thread and no-one complained. Maybe if you are interested format your computer and that should solve it. :p

Maybe if you are interested format your computer and that should solve it:p:p It's not just that thread, it happens randomly all over neowin, like forums and the front page.. It just happened to popup on that thread I was on, and like I said I don't think it's me as it only happens on neowin and it looks like a javascript.
