If SLC-4W is now Landing Zone-4, and LZ-1&2 are at KSC, where is Landing Zone-3? Hmmmm...Texas?

SpaceX launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base to bring sonic booms to county

Quote

Ventura County residents could see a rocket launch and hear sonic booms Saturday night as part of a historic SpaceX mission from Vandenberg Air Force Base in Santa Barbara County.

At 7:21 p.m. Saturday, SpaceX will launch the SAOCOM 1A satellite on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg. The launch is being conducted for Argentina’s space agency, and the satellite is designed to provide radar imagery to help emergency responders and monitor the environment, including the collection of soil moisture measurements. The launch was delayed from Sept. 28.

Quote

The historic part of the mission will occur after the launch when SpaceX attempts to land the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket at Vandenberg. This will be SpaceX's first land landing attempt at Vandenberg. It has previously made such landings on drone ships in the ocean.

The 30th Space Wing said in a news release Tuesday that Central Coast residents may see the first stage of the Falcon 9 returning to Vandenberg. This may include multiple engine burns.

Residents in Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo counties also may hear sonic booms. A sonic boom sounds like an explosion or thunder and is the result of shock waves from an aircraft or vehicle traveling faster than sound. The sound of the boom will depend on weather conditions and other factors.

For information regarding the launch or public viewing locations, visit the
30th Space Wing Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/30thSpaceWing.

Hmm, I still expect it to be alongside LZ's 1 and 2 @ Cape eventually. As was always shown in the renders and video's.

In the latest EIS revision the location of the 3rd LZ (South Pad) at KSC is now a Dragon processing and engine test facility, which is being built.

If my math here is correct, basing that on a 265 foot pad and 160 foot tall stage, this is a photoshop (unfortunately that's not Block 5) of what photographers and media should get to see after Falcon 9 lands back at LZ-4 tomorrow.

Looks like no fairing recovery with Mr Steven tonight. This doesn't rule out experimentation though.
