THAT WAS AMAZING! The @SpaceX launch from Vandenberg was incredible! I took one long photo, 9 minutes long, the stage 2 cloud was spiraling out of control, what a show!

Just got back from Manhattan Beach where we had a great view of the Falcon 9 launch with SAOCOM 1A. The rocket launched in the darkness but flew into the sunlight making for a spectacular display when the first stage boostback burn and second stage plume interacted to form a glowing cloud of nebulosity. This is also the first time Falcon landed on ground at Vandenberg, which it did successfully about 8 minutes after launch. What a sight! Taken with 714mm focal length apo telescope.

With the bulldozers rolling in Boca Chica there may be more fun on a larger scale 😁

First stage cold gas (nitrogen) thrusters keeping it on course for its landing.

More than a little hypnotic.
