I need a cheap AMD based card that can do 4k video for movies. Kodi will be the media center app to play the content. This system will be Linux based. The 2nd setup is a Windows 10 PC that needs a card upgrade. The card I have is a HD Radeon 7970. I am needing to upgrade to something that can do 4k video and gaming. This would be good for playing games like Skyrim at max settings in 4k. If possible please let this card be AMD based as well. I know Nvidia has the edge at times for performance but I prefer AMD because of the pricing. What do you all suggest? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I don't care about your fanboyism, but this is the way it is. I ran a 5770, 6875, and some others on my Linux system. The day I bought a NVIDIA 750Ti, it was easy sailing then on.
