It was slow for about 1 hour TOPS..so maybe neowin needs to upgrade again? No YOU dont own it, Polystigma does  Its been basically inacessible to me for the past 2-3hours. Sorta recovered now. I've also given them recommendations for other providers with better bandwidth, service, and support, at a better cost (ThePlanet, to be specific). I bet we'll see some sort of server moveage or something within a few months or so to allow for the site to grow furthur.

JadeWolf324
perhaps neowin should get some hosting that can use NLB (Network Load Balancing)...that'd be a good thing.
pylesj
This morning I found neowin would barely load. It took like 5 minutes!!! Just as bad as having 56k! Josh

Redmak Administrators Posted February 8, 2004 Administrators Share Posted February 8, 2004 On sunday a backup is made this will increase the load and slow the server down a bit Yesterday there was (and maybe there still is) a router problem somewhere. I was unable to work on neowin but when I visited the site through a proxy it was fast and the loads were low. I'm working on solving this mailserver problem
Homer
Weird though cos Tech-Critic's server is a. in the same datacenter b. on the same ip block c. with the same company Yet... it never had problems. Could be a hardware problem in Neowins server maybe?
Wannes
Could be or it could be a bandwith problem? -Couch Potato?

nazgul
Yeah... it's been CRAWLING on my cable net connection for the past several days... starting to get a bit annoying. Still, since we're not actually paying for Neowin, I don't see that we can really complain.
