Microsoft announces the first 15 titles to get keyboard and mouse support on Xbox One

It was three years ago when Microsoft initially made the promise to bring keyboard and mouse support on the Xbox One, and it finally arrived to Insiders only last month. As it was confirmed earlier, not all games will come with keyboard and mouse support, with developers having control over whether to enable that support, and how to implement it, in order to ensure “fun, fair, and correctly balanced” gameplay.

Microsoft today announced the first 15 games that will be getting keyboard and mouse support on the Xbox One at its X018 event in Mexico City, and here’s the list:

  • Bomber Crew
  • Children of Morta
  • DayZ
  • Deep Rock Galactic
  • Minion Master
  • Moonlighter
  • Strange Brigade
  • Warhammer: Vermintide 2
  • Vigor
  • Warface
  • Warframe
  • Wargroove
  • War Thunder
  • X-Morph Defense
  • Fortnite

It's worth noting that some of these games are launching on the Xbox One along with this support, so there are plenty of new games to try out as well. Additionally, in select titles such as Fortnite, players using keyboard and mouse will be matched only with similarly-equipped players.

Any standard USB keyboard and mouse should work with the Xbox One, but Microsoft is also extending its "Designed for Xbox" program to keyboards that are designed for the console, with a dedicated Xbox key and support for Xbox Dynamic Lighting. At the moment, Razer is the "exclusive" partner making "Designed for Xbox" keyboard and mouse devices, with that hardware expected to be revealed at CES in January next year.

Fortnite will be one of the first games to roll out mouse and keyboard support on Wednesday, November 14, along with Warframe.
