Xbox Game Pass to receive Strange Brigade, Mutant Year Zero, and more in December

Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass subscription service expands once again in December with more games. Today's announcement had the company revealing that three new games are coming to the program soon; however, it seems one of them is already available to subscribers on Xbox One.

Two of the three games are quite recent releases. Strange Brigade launched on August 28 and The Gardens Between arrived on September 20. But the final game, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, is a brand new upcoming title that will be available on the Xbox Game Pass on the day it officially launches, December 4.

Here are the store pages of the announced games and their arrival dates to the Xbox Game Pass:

The Gardens Between (available now)

Best friends Arina and Frendt fall into a series of vibrant, dreamlike island gardens peppered with everyday objects from their childhood. Together they embark on an emotional journey that examines the significance of their friendship: the memories they’ve built, what must be let go, and what should never be left behind.

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden (December 4)

From a team including former designers of HITMAN and PAYDAY comes Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, a tactical adventure game that combines the turn-based combat of XCOM with a real-time stealth and exploration of a post-human world reclaimed by nature… and Mutants.

Strange Brigade (December 6)

Seteki the Witch Queen has risen once again, and only one troop of daring heroes can stand against her fearsome army of mummified monstrosities: The Strange Brigade! Explore remarkable ruins, solve perilous puzzles and uncover tantalising treasure while blasting your way through an array of undead enemies in thrilling third-person action that’s certain to bring out your inner adventurer!

Note that these are coming to the program in addition to the three other games that were announced during X018 for December. Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Ori and the Blind Forest, and Kingdom Two Crowns will be dropping later next month if all goes to plan.

However, Microsoft may be looking to go all out during the final month of 2018, as in its announcement, the company said to expect "even more games throughout the month of December." The free games heading to Xbox Live Gold members next month were also revealed recently, see them here.

The Xbox Game Pass program costs $9.99 per month, but right now there is a promotion running that lets new users subscribe for only $1 for an entire month. In addition to the over 150 games available in the program, it also provides access to Microsoft's first-party games line-up, which includes games such as Forza Horizon 4 and Sea of Thieves.
