LordHatrus
Just wondering, anyone here gotten their pocket pc to interface using USB with a linux desktop? I'm not looking for internet throughput, advanced syncing, etc. , I'm pretty much just looking to mount it like a hard disk, etc, and replace the files on it. Anyone done it? If no one has done it, does anyone at least know anything about the Pocket PC's Windows CE 2003 file system?
markwolfe Veteran Posted February 3, 2004 Veteran Share Posted February 3, 2004 I have not done it. I have a Sharp Zaurus, and it shares out its memory storage space as a SMB share, so I can samba into it. Not sure what system MS PPCs use. Probably a new, propriatary interface via ActiveSync only... :(
MegaManXcalibur
I don't know if this is what your looking for but I found a program called SyncCE that is suppose to allow you to connect your PocketPC to Linux, here is a link.... http://synce.sourceforge.net/synce/ I haven't used it so I don't know how well it works, but it's worth a try.
