Except the Acer Predator XB271HU isn't an IPS panel but the crappy TN panel. A lot of users today don't have experience with the old big and heavy CRT monitors of the past but a good one blew away most modern LCD displays for quality. I can't stand to look at text on a TN panel, it's awful.

The XB271HU abmiprz is a TN panel.

The XB271HU bmiprz is an IPS panel.

That monitor uses freesync instead of g-sync. Freesync now works with nvidia cards so that's a win. The only issue is that it is not 144hz but realistically no one is doing 144fps at that resolution anyways so 100hz is more than fine.
