'Batman: Arkham' developer Rocksteady hints at next-gen AAA title in recent job listings
      by Usama Jawad

Rocksteady Studios pretty much wrapped up the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham series with Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015. This also marked the studio's last major release, and we have not heard from the developer since, except for a spinoff Batman: Arkham VR release in 2016.

It is currently unknown what projects Rocksteady is working on currently, but we may just gotten a hint at it with some job listings posted on the developer's site.

Image via Den of GeekAs spotted by ResetEra forum member est1992, Rocksteady has posted over 20 job listings on its website, with expertise required in numerous departments, including animation, art, character, code and AI, design, dialog, and marketing.

Eurogamer notes that all of these listings reference a "AAA title on the next generation platforms". Many of them reference professional experience in creative writing in TV, comics, and novels, while others also demand a "broad knowledge of comics, novels, games, cinema, and popular culture relating to video games." Interestingly, the Lead Animator post demands a person "who is ready for the challenge of leading a team of world class Gameplay Animators towards our next 90+ Metacritic title."

Most of these job listings were announced at the start of the year but have now been made available for public viewing. Many of them are contractual positions which require a the applicant to be available for a period of two years to work on the project.

Needless to say, all of these hints point at an upcoming title, though its identity is anyone's guess. At the start of this year, Rocksteady posted images of its motion-capture support team after a test shoot which sparked rumors have previously surfaced regarding an upcoming Justice League or Superman game. We'll likely learn more about this secret project soon, if these job listings are indications of an upcoming title.

Warner Bros. is moving ahead with a follow-up to Man of Steel, Superman’s most recent solo feature, according to The Wrap. The unnamed, undated sequel is entering "active development," suggesting its in the earliest stages of pre-production.
Although Superman’s co-star in March’s Dawn of Justice, Batman, is getting his own stand-alone film, Warner Bros. has yet to formally announce another Superman film. Instead, the studio has shifted focus toward its superhero team-up movies, setting the stage with Wonder Woman on June 2, 2017, before the first Justice League opens on Nov. 17, 2017.
Honestly, this doesn't surprise me, who didn't expect another superman solo film?     DC could just keep making solo films for the trinity for the next 10 years and it'd be fine, toss in some flash, aquaman, GL from time to time and fans would be cool with it IMO.

Injustice 2 announced, coming to consoles in 2017
      by Usama Jawad

Based on the hit DC Comics graphic novel series of the same name, Injustice: Gods Among Us was released on consoles and smartphones to critical acclaim back in 2013. It was lauded by critics and fans alike for its intense story mode, gameplay mechanics and the considerably large playable roster of popular DC characters including Batman, Superman, Flash, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Joker, Nightwing, Harley Quinn, Killer Frost, Wonder Woman, among others. Now, NetherRealm Studios, the development team behind the popular game has announced that the title will receive a sequel named Injustice 2 which will be released in 2017.

The trailer shows off a few new characters and suits including Supergirl and what appears to be the prototype Batman suit from Batman Beyond. It also showcases several other major DC characters engaging in ruthless combat including Batman, Superman, Flash and Aquaman.

The description of the game available on Injustice 2's official website is as follows:

Injustice 2 will be arriving on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017, however, a release window for a PC version of the game, if any, has not yet been announced. We are likely to learn more about the game at E3 2016, which takes place in Los Angeles next week.
