Microsoft fixes typo with OneDrive for iOS along with other improvements

If you've been using Microsoft's OneDrive app on your iPhone or iPad, you may have noticed a bug in iMessage that displays "Open in On" instead of "Open in OneDrive" for viewing documents in the file hosting app. Now, that bug has been fixed with OneDrive's latest update on iOS, plus a few other refinements.

The app's newest version on the Apple App Store introduces a new app icon for OneDrive found at the top right of file previews within the iMessage app, replacing the "Open in OneDrive" link. In addition to this particular bug fix, Office docs now open in the app without any issue as was the case in the previous version.

Additionally, Microsoft rolled out a bunch of user interface improvements where performing a search in OneDrive is concerned. The latest version of OneDrive is available to download from the Apple App Store.

The bug fixes arrive a week after Microsoft resolved a previous issue with OneDrive that made a text annotation on a PDF rotate randomly, according to its February 8 changelog. Other bugs that have since been fixed include a space that unexpectedly showed up above the search results and random Files app crashes within OneDrive.
