Get one month of free Google Fi usage if you register before March 24

On Friday, Google-owned service provider Google Fi launched a limited time deal which offers one month of free service for new customers. It will cover unlimited calls, texts, data usage, taxes and other charges for a month. Normally the base plan costs around $20 per month for unlimited calls and texts, excluding data charges. The offer is only valid for first-time customers, and they must meet certain requirements to qualify for the service. Since certain phones are not eligible, it would be wise to refer to the list of compatible models before making any decisions. Any phone purchased through Fi itself cannot be used for the offer.

As per the terms and conditions, in order to activate the free service users must first sign up for Google Fi online. This should be done before 11:59 pm PT on March 24. Customers will receive an email to confirm the service credit a week after activation. It is also possible for users to transfer their current phone number instead of getting a new one, as long as it has been in use since December 8, 2018, 12:00 am PT. The offer cannot be used for data-only SIM cards, meaning users must register for full service. Additionally, once the service has been activated, the device must stay active for a period of 30 days back-to-back.

The deal is only available to US residents aged over 18 who have Google Payments and Google Fi accounts. Payment cannot be made via cash or cash equivalents, and the service is limited to one person per plan, and six per group plan. Further details and terms and conditions for the promo can be found here.
