Several Siri users based in Europe have reported a disruption of services

According to many European users on Twitter, Apple's assistant Siri has been down for a couple of hours and many of their Apple devices have been unresponsive. The official system support page for Apple, however, is not displaying any disruption of services as of yet. Reports from Twitter regarding the system outage have been posted from countries including Germany, Portugal, France and the Netherlands. The most common Apple device facing issues with Siri seems to be the HomePod, while others such as iPhones, iPads, and Macs also seem to be affected.

Apparently, any attempt to access Siri via Apple devices in Europe is met with no response whatsoever, not even an error report. Lucky for users based in the US, the service does not seem to be experiencing any problems in that region. This system outage does not look good for Apple, especially since the company faced a similar issue last week when, just like Facebook, iCloud was down, which affected services like iWork, Find My Friends, and Photos. The Facebook outage resulted in 3 million people signing up for Telegram, a chat service aiming to compete with the social media giant. If Apple isn't too careful, its rivals might end up benefiting off these frequent system breakdowns as well.
