HP was among the first out of the gate with a headset for Microsoft's Windows Mixed Reality platform back in mid-2017. Today, the company is announcing its newest Windows Mixed Reality head-mounted display (HMD), the Reverb.
The HP Reverb aims to solve a lot of pain points with VR headsets, and one of those is the resolution. In fact, the Reverb has double the resolution of its predecessor. Rather than dual 1440x1440 screens, this HMD has two 2160x2160 displays, so you certainly won't see as much pixelation as you would on another headset. The field of view is 114 degrees.
While the visuals are greatly improved and it includes things like spatial audio and six degrees of freedom, there's also a focus on comfort. The HP Reverb weighs in at only 1.1 pounds, so it's not nearly as heavy as other HMDs.

Just like with the last HP HMD, there's a consumer model and a professional model. The consumer model will be available in late April for $599. The professional model is coming in the same timeframe, but pricing isn't set yet. The main difference between the two is that the professional model comes with a washable face cushion, as it could be used by multiple users.
