Unboxing the HP Chromebook 14 and Chromebook x360 14 G1

At CES this year, HP announced the Chromebook 14 and the Chromebook x360 14 G1, both of which serve very different purposes.

Starting at $269, the Chromebook 14 is HP's first AMD-powered Chromebook. It uses an A4 processor, which by no coincidence, is one of AMD's first chipsets that's made for Chrome OS. The specs go up to 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, and an FHD touchscreen, for $329.

The Chromebook x360 14 G1 is aimed at businesses, and it provides a lot more power with an eighth-generation Intel Core i7 and up to 16GB RAM. It has narrow, 7.5mm side bezels, and it's 16mm thick. Naturally, it comes in a convertible form factor, although it does not have pen support, which is a bit of a disappointment. Another big difference with the x360 is that it comes in a metal chassis.

Both PCs have Bang & Olufsen audio, and they both have USB Type-C ports on both sides. Check out our unboxing video below:
