Hello,

The new Ryzen 9 CPU looks very interesting.  I am very interested in seeing what sorts of new motherboards are going to be made available for it.

IIRC, that does use the same AM4 format. Might be something to look at, as soon as I see the benchmarks... (just might need a UEFI upgeade)

Just announced at E3 ...

Ryzen 9 3950X - 16C/32T - 3.5/4.7GHz - 72MB cache - 105W TDP - $749

.... the price just made me a little sad (was hoping for not more than $650).  :(

Yea, still impressive they crammed 16 cores in that thing and at only 105W TDP.  The 3900X though will probably be the "sweet spot" (price/performance) ... looking forward to the reviews of it.

Yeah, I'm OK with my 2600, now. But if I need more juice, I can get the 3900x, just under $500, or another, IDK...

I'd love a 12C/24T processor but I'm still happy with my i7 2700K for now. I'll adopt once I find a need for the processing power. Gotta love the innovation though, go AMD!
