This version of Audio ESP is not intended for this Operating System

I got this after updating to 1901. 

Had it before and managed to fix it but I can't remember how.

 

Not too sure what's causing it but if I remember correctly, uninstalling every sound device and whatnot and allowing Windows to install some basic drivers still gives me no sound.

 

Downloaded a SoundMax installer this time and it asked if I wanted to uninstall the previous driver. I did so and sound returned.

 

I haven't restarted yet.

 

I wonder if there's a Windows driver that doesn't play with my system? I think I have an Asus P50 Pro motherboard. No sound card I don't think as onboard audio is good enough.

 

Is there anything I can do to stop this problem in the future?
